As one of the four pillars, workforce development is extremely important to The Water Tower.  Our workforce development program includes industry training for the individuals currently working in water and providing opportunities to develop their skills and expand their knowledge.

Last week, The Water Tower partnered with the emergency power specialists at Prime Power to teach a weeklong course focused on emergency power for water professionals. During this week, a group of water professionals learned the basics of an Emergency Power Supply (EPS) system, general maintenance requirements, troubleshooting common issues, code compliance relative to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 110 guidelines, safety protocol, and much more from the top instructors at Prime Power. Individuals were able to sign up for a combination of seminar classes as well as hands on workshops such as Generator Triage, Arc Flash Safety, and Generator 101.

Each class included detailed and engaging information. When asked how they were liking the class, all of the professionals responded with nothing but praise. They gave it two thumbs up and stated that the class was “great”, “very detailed”, and “very exceptional.”

The Water Tower offers a multitude of classes for water professionals. Be the first to hear about The Water Tower classes by following us on social media and visiting our website training page.
