Women Leading Water Spotlight Series
The water industry is driven by individuals who care deeply about the work they do.
Our Women Leading Water Spotlight Series features women from the organizations supporting this initiative by sharing their journeys, reflections on leadership, and what being a woman in water means to them today.
We’re grateful to spotlight the voices and perspectives that help strengthen and support the water community. Join us to celebrate Women Leading Water this March at The Water Tower.
Meet Lindsay Webb, PE

Can you share a bit about your journey and what led you to work in water?
I have always had a love of the environment, math, and science. My parents worked with engineers, and we eventually had family friends who were civil engineers focused on water/wastewater. Civil engineering seemed like a good path for me. Once I started on my journey, I never looked back! I have been in the water industry my entire career. I thoroughly enjoy helping clients solve problems by managing complex, multidisciplinary projects delivering resilient, compliant and operations focused solutions through strong coordination, communication, and technical leadership.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I am passionate about bringing young women along beside me, fostering their growth, being a sounding board and advocate for them. Years ago, I initiated a local female mentoring network where I led a group of women monthly to address various career, work-life balance, and leadership development opportunities. Watching these young women learn and grow bas been the most rewarding and unexpected part of my job.
What advice would you give to young women just joining the water industry?
Grow your network so you know who to call when you have a question. Don’t be afraid to ask – the worst someone can say is “no”. Be an advocate for yourself. Your career will blossom!
We thank Lindsay and our sustaining partner, STV, for supporting Women Leading Water and sharing their perspective with our community!
